Board Meeting Minutes

In Attendance: Chuck Gruberman, Jim Bestman, Jeff Bibik, Rick Mohr, Robbie Levensbaum, Graham Putnam and Karen Burris.
Secretary’s Report: the minutes were accepted as read.
In the Treasurer’s Report, Chuck reported that our monies included checks for sponsorships and income minus expenses for the Marshall Brodien event as well as the St. Paddy’s day event at the VFW. CD is due on Oct 22, 2010.

Membership:
***We need to really get new members into the club!!!!***
Marketing Report:
We need to have new brochures made with new address, new president and photo entered. Add a brief synopsis and what the club is about along with a simple application to join. Glenn is working on new brochures.
Entertainment Committee:
For the Marshall Brodien Tribute:
***About 700 in attendance – went successful.***

St. Paddy’s Day Theme
Corned beef and cabbage from HARRINGTON’S.
Held at American Legion Hall Post 1226 – 6900 Lincoln Ave. or 4170 West Morse, Lincolnwood
5:30 cocktails
6:30 dinner

*Cystic Fibrosis - Magic Show May 7th and 8th
$25 Minimum Donation
No pay for Performers, but will be treated well.
Entertainers: need list from Karen
***Awaiting the posters and trying to get out publicity***
***Events could have members at one price and guests at a higher price***
***Robbie will check on having a pizza party at Riggio’s in July.***
***Printing of the new brochures/flyers was put on hold.
Voted and the funding for them was passed.

We need to pay for the marketing – Posters- Brochures -nothing will be covered by the event.
Motion to approve Bob Sturm, seconded me. Graham obstained.
New pins for members – around $80
Motion to approve Graham Putnam, seconded me. Approved.
$19.00 is donated to club for the posters sold at the Marshall Brodien event.
T-Shirts on sale for Marshall Brodien through magazines – next meeting
Second invoices for member’s dues

Chuck will be away for the summer and will be able to reimburse might take up to two or three weeks to take place.
